Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Effective date: January 1, 2025

Searchly.app is a small, focused product. Our CSR commitments are honest, specific, and proportionate to what we actually do.

Privacy as a baseline, not a feature

We treat user privacy as a fundamental responsibility. No image storage, no behavioral tracking, no data monetization. This isn't a selling point we cycle through marketing; it's how the product is built. Privacy is the default state, not an opt-in.

Responsible access to public information

Reverse image search is a powerful capability. We take seriously the fact that it can be misused. Our Terms of Service explicitly prohibit use that enables harassment, stalking, or discrimination. We enforce this. Tools that give people access to public information carry a responsibility to set clear boundaries and mean them.

Transparency

We don't make vague claims about what we do with data. Our Privacy Policy is written in plain language. Our limitations are stated upfront. We don't obscure how the tool works or what it can and can't find. Honesty about what a product does, and doesn't do, is part of operating responsibly.

Environmental consideration

We aim to use efficient infrastructure and avoid unnecessary compute. Searches are processed, and results are returned without retaining any data, reducing our storage footprint. As we grow, we will prioritize hosting partners with documented sustainability commitments.

Accessibility

The service requires no account, no app download, and no technical knowledge. It works on every modern device and browser. Keeping the tool accessible to everyone, not just technically proficient users, is one reason we built it the way we did.

Ongoing commitment

We will update this policy as the product grows. If our practices change in ways that affect users or society, we will communicate that clearly.
